Dear People;
Just received K-2 Kit serial number 02739,
am doing inventory and have a question please;
I received a SA602AN and SA612AN for
part numbers U10,U11 on the RF board of a K-2,
instead of two SA602AN IC's.
At the following URL it says the conversion gain
of the 612 at 45 Mhz is lower (I don't know what
that means...signal attenuation?). Should I simply
use the two different IC's (if so, which one goes
in U10 and which in U11) or contact Elecraft
for a replacement of the SA612? I am not sure
if it's intentional or not that they sent similar/different
IC's? They are nearly, but not, identical.

" There is another part called the SA612, which
replaces the corresponding NE612, and has essentially
the same specifications as the SA602 except that the
claimed conversion gain at 45 MHz is slightly lower.
Other than that, I can't see any difference except for price "
Thank you very much. Sincerely,
-Nick
