[Elecraft] How to listen to my own SSB audio?

It was in some thread recently, but under a different subject... could
not find it anymore.  I tried setting SSBA BAL but that did not do it. 

 Any help is appreciated.

Your microphone is probably not wired so the microphone element is "hot"
even when the PTT button is NOT pressed. I had to jumper two contacts on
the PTT switch on mine.  I don't know how the Elecraft mic is set up,
but if the mic will work in VOX mode without touching the PTT button, it
should work. 

Then you put the rig in SSBA-BAL and talk. Don't push the PTT! Doing
that turns the mode off. 

You'll need to wear headphones. There is plenty of gain and unless you
have a very long mic cord, you'll get lots of feedback trying to hear on
the speaker.
