[Elecraft] Ham Radio SW for the Mac Qs

Folks,

I'm feeling the lure of  Mac OSX, perhaps a result of the recent
"switch" ads. www.apple.com/switch

Well I did a little "Googlen" and see the basics I require are
available,  "Spectrogram" like packages and PSK-31 software. So it's
time to dig deeper.

For those whose use Mac's:

1) How does the quality/functionality of the APP SW hold up against
Windows equivalents like Digipan, Mix32, Spectrogram...etc.

2) The OS Core of OSX is of course BSD Unix; Has anybody tried running
available Unix based radio SW on OSX?

3) What are the biggest/best software repositories for the Mac these
days?

4) Macs have long been known for the AV capabilities? Any cool
software available to effect Audio DSP Noise Reduction etc.?
