Boy, that's surely not my experience.  The K2 QSK is right up there with 
TT, and better than the relatively poor QSK of the TT Omni 6 Plus.  Only 
the TT QRP kit has better QSK, maybe the very best ever done by anyone. 
Sounds like you don't have something working correctly with the K2.  Just 
MHO, as they say.
