I'm used to being able to hear between the dits at 25 wpm and below, and
at least for my K2, I can't.  I spend a lot of time in DX pileups where
I want to know when the DX station has picked a station.  I can do that
easily with my old Tec-Tec rig and I can't with the K2...

What's your TR delay set to? It's accessed via the main menu command.
That sets the delay between the transmit and receive It's adjustable
from 0.00 to 2.55 sec.
