[Elecraft] KSB2 Frustrations - K2 #2700

I received a replacement PIC chip for the KSB2 yesterday (Friday) and =
that solved the
problem with the K2 not detecting the SSB adaptor, but after working on =
it for many
hours I have become so frustrated with it I have pretty much given up =
and surrendered.
With the SSB board installed, my receiver loses sensitivity and power =
output goes to
zero.

After checking the KSB2 board for what has seemed the 100th time, the =
only problems
I have found are at U1 pin 21 (0.2 V rx / 0.1 V tx) and U1 pin 22 (5.7 V =
rx / 0.0 V tx).
All the other voltages are correct and I haven't been able to locate the =
source of the
problem.

On the bright side, my apparently CW-only K2 is working the world on a =
simple wire
antenna.  I've run out of patience with the SSB adaptor and the only =
thing left to do
is to send the KSB2 to Elecraft and have them fix it....
