Well, it all adds up, Wayne. Likely, it depends on how many batteries 
you want to carry for rig, digicam, etc.  I just ran some measurements 
on sets of four AA cells.  Results:

o Alk    -- 3.2 oz
o NiMH - 3.6 oz
o Lith    -- 2.0 oz

So assuming that the Li cells gave the same life as the NiMH (an 
assumption, at this point) and I wanted to carry two sets of 10 cells 
each, the wt difference would be 5x1.6  or close to half a pound.

OTOH -- if that much wt savings is critical, I guess I wouldn't carry a 
rig anyway <grin>
