In the old days "mFd" meant "microfarads".  I have a bunch of old
condensors (now called "capacitors") in my junk box labelled ".01 mfd",
".1 mfd", etc.  They're certainly not in the millifarad range.  Even
though they're large physically, they're not *that* large, hi.
