Last night we had a fair amount of lightning.

I had the antenna coax coupled off the K2, with the bnc connector about a
foot from the casing, the 4 feet lead to the handkey was left connected as
was the 6 feet lead from the power supply. This lead is run through a toroid
a couple of times .

This afternoon I tried to operate and found that key-down resulted in a
continious sidetone which kept on going after key-up. Most keys I tried
responded, apart from the MENU key, tapping or holding had no result what so
ever. Antenna tuning was also not possible. The KIO2 worked ok, apart from
the antennatuning.

A 4-5-6 power-on reset to default values let the menu work again, but I had
to remove the key jack momentarily to get rid of the continious sidetone.
It's working OK again now, but I have the following questions:

What has happend, induction via the key- or powerleads ? Should I disconnect
all leads to the K2 after operating ?
