Any balanced line ought to have standoffs between it and anything that is
not air, for a distance equal to 2 to 3 times the spacing of the wires in
the line (2002 Antenna Book, page 24-23).

Of course, you can make the parallel feeder from tewo lengths of coax, in
which case they can be taped to the support mast (ibid, Page 24-20).
