Using a wire, and with no Elecraft 100 W AT as yet, something like an 
MFJ manual tuner or some type of autotuner is required.

Unless you put up a resonant antenna (e.g., dipole) you will need a 
tuner.  For a wire get one that will feet a random wire (not all will).

RE antennas: The Kanga mast is, I think, the one from Germany.  Same 
fellow makes a loop antenna for it.  Other folks run a vertical up the mast.
