I tried it for about 15 minutes. It was OK at very low speed, say below 15 or 20 WPM. Above 25 I could not send effectively. In between, it was hard but I felt I could get used to it with persistence. With a conventional paddle I am comfortable sending up to 35 or 40. The only advantages of the FTT are size and weight. I want to learn to send faster with it so I can take it backpacking but so far have not taken the time.
