[Elecraft] What is mode r on the K2?

Greetings.

I took my K2 apart the other day. When I put it back together again, I 
thought I had a problem with the LCD as the mode 'c' looked like an 'r'. I 
powered the unit down and up again and it said 'Elecraft' as it usually 
does with no missing segments. I checked the mode display and it looks like 
I now have 4 modes. The mode display goes through the sequence 'c', 'l', 
'u', then 'r' before going back to 'c'.

What is mode 'r'? I haven't seen that before. Mode 'r' also has its own set 
of filter settings. Is mode 'r' useful for anything in particular? Has 
anyone else noticed this on their K2?
