[Elecraft] S-Meter Sensitivity

Why all the obsession with S-meter reading accuracy?  Does anyone really 
believe signal strength reports anyway?  Last week I worked a euro 
station who was booming into the West Coast.  He worked many stations, 
seemed to copy them all 100%, and every report given was 44.
