[Elecraft] KIo2 Trouble

Just completed the KIo2 and had it working last night using software 
written by Steve NI5V.  I was able to read the K2 settings and change 
them via software.   I'm running a Mac with USB to Serial interface. 
Today when I tried it I could only send commands to the K2 but could not 
receive anything back.  I don't think it's the computer, software or 
cable.   I suspect something in the KIo2.

Here's what I've checked so far:
Software (reloaded it)
USB to serial driver (reloaded it) Mac recognizes the USB Interface and 
software sees it also(driver working)
ohmed out the cable
checked all solder joints on KIo2
Re-tested but still could only send command to K2 but not receive any 
back.
All voltages checked nominal with exception of
J1-2  0v  (should be -8)
U1-5 -0.3 (should be -8)
U1-8 -3 (should be -9)
D1-A -3 (should be -9)
D2-A -3 (should be -9)

Any suggestions?
