[Elecraft] Just One Word

While I PERSONALLY agree with John about the spelling of the word: 
"TOROID"... the matter came up once (in the 1980s) at work and we looked it 
up in an appropriate Electronics Dictionary-or some such-and they said 
EITHER one or two "R"s were acceptable. And after all, surely the origin of 
the word "toroid" is the word (Greek?) "torus". One "R".

Unlike all these supposedly-educated folks (including our esteemed 
President of the US), who are slaughtering the pronunciation of the word: 
"nuclear".  There is no "U" following the "C"!!!
