George,

You have gotten your K2 into "Fast-Play" CW message mode (one tap
message play with certain buttons). You probably have PF1 or PF2
programmed as a fast-play on/off button, or at least did have it set up
this way for awhile when you were trying to set up PF1 or PF2. Turning
fast play on/off, etc., is explained in the "K2 Revision 2 Firmware Manual."
