Speaking of LOOP antennas.... the navy used to fly a C-130 a/c with a
really long (couple of miles?) wire with a cone at the end to keep the
end stable. The idea was to fly in a circle until you find the trailing
cone in front of your nose.... that thats a big loop! No QSB that way!

I bought my K2 with an eye toward operating while flying my sailplane.

The other challenge with glider mobile would be the antenna. I'd have the
most attention to devote to operating when established in a thermal.  If
the
antenna weren't reasonably omnidirectional (while in a 45 dg bank) then
some
serious qsb could be introduced.
