[Elecraft] K2 Aeronautical mobile

I bought my K2 with an eye toward operating while flying my sailplane.  The
thought of placing an antenna at over a mile above ground, and many miles
from the nearest source of manmade QRN has a lot of appeal.

After including a 6'5" 250# pilot, I do have serious space limitations in my
cockpit. The best mounting location would be directly behind my head...not
the easiest location for control operation.

Wayne was musing over the idea of some sort of small wired remote device to
operate the K2, around the time he was putting the final polish on the
KIO2...I voulenteered for FT... Haven't heard anything about that in a long
time, Wayne...hint!

The other challenge with glider mobile would be the antenna. I'd have the
most attention to devote to operating when established in a thermal.  If the
antenna weren't reasonably omnidirectional (while in a 45 dg bank) then some
serious qsb could be introduced.
