[Elecraft] Rx comparison test with the K2

Hi, Ron...
(Delayed reaction reply)
I carried the K2 out to my noisy car this evening and tried the NB. You're
absolutely right... it does a very credible job on my ignition noise. With
K2 preamp on, the ignition noise is +/-S8. With the blanker, maybe S2. I
found only a couple of very marginal signals (engine off) that I couldn't
copy with the engine on and blanker engaged. I couldn't get to the cord but
suspect if I could have plugged in my ClearSpeech DSP, the rest of the noise
would have vanished.
It's really too bad it won't ALSO help with QRN and man-made hash. Maybe we
need a two-section blanker like some of the rice boxes have.
Whew... does this mean I must build another K-2/100 to use in the car?
