Jim,

In defense of Elecraft and all who may be in their employ, you are in the
VAST minority having received an incomplete kit. I have never known
Elecraft or the people behind the product to be anything but thorough and
extremely interested in ALL Elecraft customers having a 100% satisfied
experience.

It may be possible that some postal carrier out there LOST his RFa bag for
his K2 and broke into your K2 package to scavange yours, thus, thrusting
the blame on those at Elecraft. Alternately, have you noticed any black
helicopters hovering around your mailbox? How about strange lights in the
sky at night? While all of the previous explainations may seem
unplausable, they seem more plausable to me (and I'd bet on the rest of
the Elecraft community as well) than their being a quality control issue
inside Elecraft.

PS: I worked Brad, KB9BPF (K2 #2648), on 3.875 LSB with K2 #2490 last
night on his brand spanking new K2 that he purchased at Dayton. WONDERFUL
S9+ signal into OH, Brad! Brad said it took him about 20hrs to complete
the K2, KSB2 and KIO2. Man! I thought I was on a roll completing the
KPA100 so quick!

Is anyone interested in a K2 WAS net? If so, I'd be happy to start
something. Nothing EXCLUSIVIST or anything. Just someplace for K2 owners
where you knew that you'd find a wealth of other K2's to work. If so, let
me know!
