My question for the group is:  Wouldn't it be just as accurate to read the
RF Voltage across the load?

This is how I calibrated the SWR circuit in my KAT2.  I do not remember the
exact procedure but I remember it being one of the choices in the manual.  I
am sure that the KPA will develop much higher voltages, but isn't the same
procedure just as applicable?

It would be easy to measure the voltage being developed across the RFL-100.
