Hello All:
Earlier in the week while talking with Gary about the KPA100 and the
I/O interface, I had mentioned that I was using contest logging program
that has some basic rig control features.
The name of the software is N1MM Logger; it is a FREEWARE program
designed to accomodate every major contest and it constantly being
updated to improve performance and to add new features. N1MM Logger
is written for Windows and although it can be used for general logging, =
it
is specifically a contest logging program with no awards tracking.
I am using it with my K2 with the radio interface set for "Kenwood". It =
is
set up to connect you to a PacketCluster via Telnet or VHF. The neatest
feature for me is that by clicking on a DX spot, the software will tune =
the
K2 to the correct frequency and mode instantly. In my opinion it blows
the doors off CT for two reasons- CT is still only a DOS program and
costs $80.
The N1MM home page is http://pages.cthome.net/n1mm/
The only requirement to download the software is that you have to join
his Yahoo! group. From there you will have access to the download
files and the email reflector.

Michael Tucker
