Hi Folk,
Well it pains me to have to admit it, but the problem I
reported was self inflicted.
Many thanks to the many replies I had.It just shows how valuable the
reflector is.
Andrew AC7CF go to the top of the class !! Your suggestion was spot on.
Now the problem.......I reluctantly report my indiscretion in case it helps
someone who arrives at the same sticky spot.
I installed the SSB upgade chip in BACK TO FRONT. (sigh)...and I was trying
to be so careful too.....
However, turning it around, made the set spring into life. I just hope the
chip has a sense of humour and keeps going now.
Thanks again to all who responded.
Cheers......Ron ZL1TW
To advise anyone who didn't read my "Help" message, the fault I had was weak
reception, and the DIT paddle didn't work but did increase the sound level
when depressed. I also had no transmit.
All this happened after I did the KPA100 upgrade mods on the Control board,
and upgraded the SSB PIC chip. I thought I had a Control board
problem and didn't double check the SSB module!
