I'd be happy to have you stop by and we could compare our K1 audio. It is
only 800 Hz wide at the widest.

Do you have the chips installed in the correct orientation? How about the
voltage and resistance checks? did they all pass?

Extra connectors are normal. Remember that not everyone builds it all at
once, also the KAT1 came out after the K1.

That is normal. There is supposed to be a gap.
