[Elecraft] how I used my EC1 enclosure

I built one of the HFPacker amp kits into an Elecraft EC1 enclosure.

Virgil K5OOR posted on his website some pictures I took of it.

Obviously I'm not finished with this project yet; it has no labeling.
Haven't yet found a good, low-quantity source for white dry-transfer
lettering. The amp works FB electrically, though, and the K2/100 inspired
me to start using the Anderson PowerPole as can be seen.

Wish I knew more about how to paint my projects so they look better. I also
wish I knew something about making silk screens. I wonder it it's worth it
to do them for one-off projects, and if I can easily make one at home,
preferably using a computer for the layout.

Maybe someone who knows about these things will write an article for QST,
QEX, or the 'web; with the uptick in homebrewing recently, the topic has
gained some import. Note the ARRL web site even has an article now about
"Hamfesting for QRP Parts" so that should tell you something.

Steve's Soapbox: I place most of the credit (for this recent surge in such
home-construction interest) with Elecraft. Re-constituting a worldwide
coterie of home-builders who have the tools and skills is a VERY good thing
for ham radio's future.
