[Elecraft] Setting K2 to 5W and the KPA100

Hi all,
I'm trying to plan ahead so here goes.  If I set up the K2 to be 5 Watts
max, if I later add the amplifier will this power it to 100 Watts or do I
have to go back and revert to the original specs?  In other words can I have
my cake and eat it too??   :)
