Daniel,

I used RG-8X for my K2 in my car.  This power cable also powers up my 
lap-top computer for PSK-31, or I can unplug the K2 and plug in my 50 watt 
two meter FM transceiver.  I have used flexible RG8 for 100 watt rigs in 
similar setups.  Just be sure to put a fuse in both the positive and 
negative leads, right at the battery.
