[Elecraft] How 'bout a USB interface?

How hard would it be to replace the K2/100's serial interface (and/or the
KIO2) with a USB interface?  Would much in the way of firmware changes be
necessary?

USB seems like a much simpler, better, and less-hassle interface (from the
user's point of view).
