Hi, Folks. Well after my "no takers?" message, I got eight
replies from people wanting them. A couple thought I had the whole
filter board for free -- note that this was just for the CONVERSION
COMPONENTS to turn an existing KFL1-2 into one which would cover
40 and 20m.
So we do have one winner!
For the uh....non-winners, be aware that Elecraft will sell
you these parts for $15 for two bands. I think that's a great
deal. Keep that in mind if someone hands you a free KFL1-2
like what happened to me!
PS -- had an emergency and was away from email. Sorry for
the delay in getting back to everyone.
Also: the converted board for 80/17 in my K1 works fine. Unfortunately
the day I wanted to use it, 17 was pretty empty and 80 later that
night was nothing but hash! So I swapped in the 4 bander again and
managed to work St. Louis (from here in Mass) on 0.1W into my 30'
randomwire. Do I love my K1? Do you have to ASK?
-Andy
Post PS: I do note, however, that even after calibrating the KAT1
power out, the 0.1W setting on the panel is more like 0.2-0.3W out
into the wattmeter/dummy load. I can't quibble too much. How many
QRP rigs have onboard digital wattmeters?
