They are saying, quite correctly, that to SCRATCHBUILD a modern transceiver
would be very hard.  Even with detailed plans, procuring parts, making boards,
doing metalwork, etc. would be a massive undertaking -- and one that could fail.

However, building a kit is...yes, EASY!  So let's not pat ourselves on the back
too much -- we are standing on the shoulders of the people who design and
produce these kits.
