[Elecraft] External Speaker

Tom
I use an external speaker that doubles as an acoustic filter for cw.

It is a thick plastic drinking glass, with a small circular speaker mounted
inside.
It peaks at 560 Hz, which is just what I like. It supplements the selective
elements
of the K2, and makes a noticeable reduction in high pitched hiss.

When tuning in my widest bandwidth setting, I can get very close to my
prefered
pitch just by peaking the signal in the speaker. Then I narrow my cw
filters and fine tune if necessary.

Subject: [Elecraft] External Speaker

Hi gang,
The Hints and Kinks section of the July issue of QST had an article on
building an external speaker. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions
on building a speaker for the K2. I'm not as interested in the box it will
go in as much as the circuit design itself, which you may have used.

Thanks in advance for any ideas you may share.
