[Elecraft] Question about K2 tilt stand

The K2 has gone together very well so far, with no real problems.  I =
can't wait to get it built since it will be my first HF transceiver. =20
However, when trying to install the tilt stand, it appears to be about =
1/2 inch too long.  The tilt stand in the drawing is straight across, =
and the one supplied with my kit is M shaped.  The directions say that =
the bail should be firmly compressed between the two feet, but getting =
this one to fit I am afraid may cause me to bend the chassis.  Has =
anyone had this experience?  Thank you for your help.
