[Elecraft] K2 - weirdness during warm-up

The last couple of weeks, I've noticed a weirdness in my K2.

Within 1-2 minutes of turning it on, it begins to tune funny. With the 
tuning rate at the lowest, each "tick" has a different audio amplitude. 

The pattern is usually LOUD-soft-soft-LOUD-soft-soft-LOUD-soft-soft, in 
groups of three. The signal doesn't disappear, but is noticably different 
in amplitude.

It doesn't appear to affect the S-meter reading, so I suspect this is a 
problem in the product detector or later stage. Occurs on every band and 
mode.

This persists for 2-4 minutes, and then the rig acts as normal. 

Any clues?
