The KPA100 replaces the top panel. So the rear panel space is the entire
rear panel of the bottom cover. I measure 1.07" on the inside of the EC2
case to the end of the lip. And of course you have the full width of the
EC2.
The KPA100 fills the top lid assembly, so you should assume you have no more
than 1.07" clearance from the inside of the bottom of the case to the shield
on the KPA100. In fact there is a little more than this, but not much.
Finally, there is 1.375" from the inside of the front of the EC2 to the
start of the KPA100 PCB, so you have the full height of the EC2 available
across the front.
Clear as mud, right?
Maybe this will help (used fixed pitch font to display). It is a side view
of the EC2 case.
