That should work fine, but you MUST make sure there is an electrical
connection between the coax shield and the radial system (and all
vertical antennas should have a good radial system if you don't want most
of the power heating up the ground rather than being radiated).  Tying
the radials to the black banana jack on the July QST antenna base
assembly will accomplish this.
