Hi John...

WOW ARE YOU STOKED!!!

>(1) Soldering station. (Which station and where can I find one?)

How much (little) do you wish to spend? They're available all the way from
$39 up, with most of them huddled in the $95-$120 area.

There's a listing on the Elecraft web site.... check it out.

>(2) Solder to use (and where can I find it?)

63/37 or 60/40 ROSIN core in either 0.020" or 0.030" diameters.
Kester is good, so is Ersin MultiCore.

Radio Shack sells a small tube of solder (.020", I think), which should be
ample to build a K2 and ALL of the options. No need to get a LOT of it for
these kits... they require very little solder... in fact, when soldering
this kit, less is more, in many cases.

Read the article on Soldering Tips on the Elecraft Web site.

>(3) Aproximate space for the building environment. Will an 8ft folding
>table be sufficient to lay out the kit and perform the build?

MORE than ample. I built all of my kits in the 24" square surface available
on my operatiing desk, right in front of the rig.

You may find this handy for sorting your parts and then having them handy
while building.
