Hmmmm, but where do you draw the line?  True homebrewers then did not make the resistors, capacitors, and components that go into homebrew rigs.  Does the fact that someone scrounged all the parts for an already designed rig make that any more homebrew than a board kit?  Must someone build a board from scratch, be it manhattan style or etched, for a project to be homebrew?  Must one design the circuit from the ground up?  Questions breed more questions !!!!
