Hi All,
As you know I am currently building K2 # 2448. I got upto to testing part 1
and the kit waas fine. But recently when I have turned on the rig I get the
'INFO 080' error. I have checked the manual and done all the procedures and
verified that everything is working.
The voltage at pin 1 and 20 on the IOC (RF-U1) is 6.28V (which I presume is
reasonable) and 4.95V at pin 40 on the MCU (CTRL-U6). I am using 'wall-wart'
power supply for teting at this stage, which is regulated giving out 12.3V.
Inside the kit the voltage is 11.28V (shown on LCD).
When I turn the rig off wait a couple of seconds and turn it back on the
error still occurs. But when I leave the kit completely unplugged for a
while (few mins) it will turn on as normal. Interestingly, when I turn off
the kit, unplug the power supply from the kit and short the power jack (to
rid any voltage left in internal capacitors) the kit turns on as normal
every time (so far). I presume my problems have something to do with the
power supply.
Since the kit works I will press on to stage two construction.
Cheers for any replies.
