[Elecraft] Low power out....K2 & KAT2

Hi all,
            Recently I made up the KAT2 and all seemed well, until today 
when I realised I was getting probably about 5 watts max out of the K2 .
It all seemed a bit strange as the KAT2 tested out OK and there was no 
problems on receive, then it dawned on me what may possibly be wrong.
When I finished construction of the KAT2 , I didn't have immediate access 
to a Wattmeter so I left the SWR bridge trimmers fully clockwise, intending 
to set them properly when I visited a friend who has the proper test gear. 
It would appear the K2 thought I was running too much power and was cutting 
it back, as, after doing a rough tuneup  of the FWD and REF pots with a RF 
probe and digital multi meter, I now have full output again.
Has anyone else trapped themselves with this one...or am I the lucky 
first??????
