I would check the little pins on the counter probe connector. You may have a 
bad connection there. You can make a temporary 10 pf cap by twisting two 
pieces of insulated solid hook up wire several times. Use this gimmick cap in 
place of the 10 pf to check the probe or build another one and tack it to the 
back of the control board. If it works the probe is bad.
