[Elecraft] Waiting for the goodies...

There was a bit of a thread running about having to wait for the Elecraft 
item to arrive after order.
You guys in the States have it easy.
"Down under" the nail biting starts from when Lisa tells us the goods have 
been despatched. There is then the umpteen thousand KM mail flight, and the 
inderterminable journey through the New Zealand Customs who send everyone 
off on holiday when you place an order, and hold any item above $NZ500 to 
grab an extra tax of 12.5% off you  in tax,and won't release until you 
cough up.
Your order then disappears into the  Courier setup who deliver when the 
time is right for them.
  No wonder the CW from down here can be "strange"...we are all under 
stress.....waiting for our orders.
It is now 7 days since Lisa contacted me last.... today my nails 
disappeared.....my marriage is under stress as I won't leave the property 
until the kit I ordered arrives.  Even worse  for the relationship....I 
won't be seen until the kit I ordered is built and running. The XYL is a 
bit strange in that she can't see this is nescessary....
Yep.......You guys in the States have it **Made**.
However...I am sure the wait I am suffering will worth it in the long run. 
A 40 year marriage is not easily  dented ...I will just have to make sure I 
take the XYL out to dinner when her birthday/marriage anniversary comes up. 
Anyone got any idea when that might be???
