Hi Kirby!  
      Great that you have chosen a K2 for your HF radio.  You will be very 
pleased with it.  
      I am looking forward to the release of the KPA100 also as many others!  
The K2 ATU is only for QRP.  I have the K2 with SSB, 160/rec ant, NB, & KAF2. 
 I have been using an old Murch matchbox for now.  I plan to get 150 watt ATU 
from either Elecraft(when available) or LDG( AT-11MP). This way I can install 
the KPA100 & still use an ATU with 100 w or turn off KPA100 & run QRP.  Just 
will not have internal battery but can still use external battery or solar 
power.  I think this is just a slight inconvenience!  Good luck on your
