[Elecraft] capacitor substitution & other problems

Greetings,

While assembling my KNB2 noise blanker I dropped, then stepped on and
broke C4, a 100pf blue mono cap. I've got a disk cap marked 101J, which
I think is also 100pf. Can I use it or do I need the blue mono cap?

Also, after installing the 160m / 2nd rx board  I can now recieve 160
sigs and the 2nd ant. input works OK on all bands. However, even though
I'm using a regulated 3 amp pwr supply I now get an intermittant "low
battery" message and the voltage side of the voltage/current display
shows 00.0 volts (on all bands) although the current side seems to be
OK....varies as you change the power....... but it does transmit as I
have made on air contacts.

 Any ideas and/or thoughts about where to look for the cause of this
problem will be appreciated.  Thanks in advance.
