Don,

A hard reset gives me a "InFO 201" on the display then I end up with the
same problems.

I do have some scope traces of ENC A, ENC B, and SR CK if you are
interested.  I'm seeing
the SR CK signal on the ENC A line.

Have you tried a hard reset on the processor. Hold the 4,5 and 6 buttons
while powering on the K2.
