$50 max I would say.  Preferably $30 but I don't know what it would cost to 
manufacture in small quantities. If it's quarter inch plastic I guess it 
would cost a bit.  Can't plastic molds be easily done?  Guess not 
inexpensively.  

I also like the idea of a separate QRO addition - although I know about all 
the problems with the law, etc.  Still, sounds nice to maintain the K2 QRP 
version as it is - for much of the time.  And the KAT2 would match the input 
to the finals.  

As to the front cover - what about incorporating a handle?  Of course the 
cover would have to reach around to the back.  The reason I ask is because 
whenever I move the K2 around I usually grab the tilt stand - and I know that 
one day I'm going to swing the wire out of the plastic feet and the K2 will 
fly across the room - or at least drop onto the floor.  Heaven forbid!
