No problem, from the comments Wayne/Eric have made in the past.
Actually the FCC doesn't have any problem with US hams running external
PA's - even on 10 meters. Their restrictions are solely on the manufacture
and sale of such amps in any significant quantity. The idea is to keep CB
operators from having easy access to a ready supply of amps that are illegal
for THEM to use. We licensed Hams are free to "roll our own" quite legally.
From the comments that I've seen on here, a lot of USA Hams are preparing to
do just that.
