K1 & k2 Ops...
Just a progress report on this awards program (see below).

We are in the certificates design phase right now and it may be several
weeks before the final selection and we go to press with this. So please
be patient. You should be on the air with your K1's and K2's collecting
serial numbers and states.  I was chatting with Eric and Wayne yesterday
about this and it is definately a 'GO'. Good Luck; I am quite looking
forward to the launch announcement, soon.

Subject: [Elecraft] Elecraft Operating Awards, soon


Elecraft is soon to announce an operating awards program based the use of
their K1 and K2 products.
It is anticipated that four Operating Achievement Awards (certificates)
will be offered:

1) Working all States using your K1/K2 using 15watts or less.
2) Working 100 K1's with your K1 or K2.
3) Working 100 K2's with your K1 or K2.
4) Working  a combined total of 100 K1's or K2's with your K1 or K2.

Watch for the official announcement from Elecraft for the start-up of
this program. Meanwhile, start making those contacts and collecting
States and K1/K2 Serial Numbers. I expect the program to be retroactive
to the date when you started using your K1/K2 rigs. 

This will be an 'honor system' activity; no QSLs will be required; just
submit a list of Calls, K1/K2 Serial Numbers and Operator's Name (and
State for the W.A.S. award).. The W.A.S. contact does not have to be with
another K1 or K2.

I have the honor to be the awards manager for these certicates. Details
will be forthcoming, soon.

Please do not apply until the rules are announced.
