Hi Jeff,

you have a very effective motivator with the K1 !

I made a K2 and 1 while learning CW and it sure helps to want to be able
to use them.

The ratio we used between practicing copying and sending code was about
3:1 timewise. (Our test included sending with a straight key)

Last evening I finished a mod. on my K1 and hooked on my key ( a great
gift from Ron AC7AC, hopefully some of his skill has rubbed off on it )
to test it. I had a nice qso with Jean F8DDE in Lille.
I leaned back in my chair after the qso to savor moment, remember, just
a year ago I had no cw skill/knowledge whatsoever and here I was with my
working K1 and being able to operate it !

Just hang in there, I found that practicing every day was very
important, even when I had a dip.
