Your message seems to be a little confusing, Ray. As you said, you only 
need to run CAL PLL on 40m with the version 2 firmware. You do not need to 
run a CAL PLL on any other band. If you run a CAL PLL on 80m then you can 
expect to get an INFO 232 message.

The note on INFO 232 can be found in the separate set of pages on the 
version 2 firmware. In my copy titled "Elecraft K2 Revision 2 Firmware, 
Installation and Reference Manual",  Revision A and dated June 14, 2001, it 
can be seen on page 4 between steps 5 and 6.
